Hi! My name is Aaliyah Selah Rivera, ever since my childhood I have been experimenting in the kitchen with a passion in the science of baking. Whether it be with my sister as 5 year olds slapping some fondant to a cake- and I mean quite literally slapping (it was quite hilarious) or creating a beautiful cake for my 10th birthday with my neighbors, I have always found a way to incorporate baking into anything. Through the years seeing these continuous creations my parents pushed me to try new things and in the process completely destroy their kitchen, which I am ever grateful for. It was during the year of the pandemic however, where I finally had the courage to begin a new journey: creating Sweet On You Desserts. The name was inspired from my best friend's parents, who left me countless resources as one of them was a baker themselves. I truly believe that food is one form of love language which is why one of my main goals when It comes to desserts is to make sure it brings a smile to whomever is receiving it. This means the pastry they receive is fresh, homemade, and exactly the edge they were looking for.
